Lever, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Node.js/TypeScript/Python) based in Portugal to design and operate backend services powering an AI-enabled platform in electric mobility. You will build scalable web services, own AI-backed infrastructure, and collaborate across product, frontend, QA, DevOps, and external partners.

Fully remote with flexible European presence. The role emphasizes architecture ownership, engineering excellence, and mentorship in a fast-moving environment.

Qualificações

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong CS fundamentals and knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Extensive experience with distributed systems and microservices patterns.
• Proficient in Node.js/TypeScript and Python for backend development.
• Designing and maintaining production-grade RESTful APIs.
• Experience with CI/CD and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Strong English communication and collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, maintain, and operate scalable web services and APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, Python.
• Own AI-based backend solutions and integrate Python AI tools into production services.
• Make high-level architecture decisions balancing scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Build production-grade RESTful APIs with authentication, versioning, rate limiting, and pagination.
• Develop distributed systems using microservices, event-driven patterns, and CQRS.
• Troubleshoot production issues and maintain system reliability and quality.
• Enforce coding standards and promote clean, maintainable code and documentation.
• Collaborate with AI, product, frontend, QA, DevOps, and partners to align with business goals.
