Velenosi&Meredith is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build and evolve backend services powering an autonomous mobile robot platform. You will be hands-on, writing production-grade Rust and Python code across distributed, cloud-native systems.

The role focuses on scalable services, API design, and observability, with a strong emphasis on CI/CD and collaboration with robotics, frontend, DevOps and QA teams. Hybrid work with 3 days on-site at Tagus Park, Portugal.

Qualificações

• Production-grade distributed systems experience.
• Strong Rust and Python skills with async programming.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud-native platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, testing, and observability tooling.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain scalable backend services in Rust and Python.
• Develop cloud-native, edge-aware distributed systems.
• Design and evolve REST APIs for fleet management and real-time monitoring.
• Ensure code quality with automated tests and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with robotics, frontend, DevOps, and QA teams; mentor juniors.
