Job summary

Tiger Recruitment Ltd. in Lisbon is seeking a proactive Accountant to join its newly established Lisbon hub. You will help build the finance function, support the setup of new systems and processes, and work closely with senior management to strengthen financial controls.

This hands-on role offers exposure to IFRS/US GAAP reporting, month-end and board reporting, budgeting and tax returns, and opportunities to progress within an international business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
• 3+ years’ relevant experience (5+ years for Senior Associate).
• Experience with IFRS or US GAAP reporting.
• Strong systems skills including financial modelling and ERP.
• Excellent written communication and report-writing skills.
• Highly organised with ability to manage multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Senior Manager to build and develop the in-house finance function in Lisbon.
• Support the transition of the finance function from outsourced accountants, putting in place the right structure, systems and processes.
• Take responsibility for the financial control of group entities, including month-end reporting, quarterly Board reporting and MI.
• Contribute to year-end financial statements and the audit process.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting, regulatory returns and tax returns.
• Identify gaps in controls and drive improvements across processes and systems.
• Drive positive change within the team, supporting managers in delivering day-to-day responsibilities.

Who You Are

• Strong systems skills, including financial modelling and ERP knowledge
• Excellent written communication and report-writing skills
• Highly organised and able to manage a wide range of responsibilities
