Job summary

Intellias is seeking a QA Tester to join a focused team in Porto, working on a data analysis and reporting web application. You will conduct manual testing across web apps and APIs, create test artifacts, and collaborate with developers and product owners to ensure quality.

The role requires strong English, experience with API testing tools, and familiarity with agile practices. The office is in Porto center, offering a modern workspace and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manual testing (web apps, APIs).
• Experience with test strategies and test frameworks (JUnit, Selenium, JMeter).
• Understanding APIs and interpreting REST API services; experience with API testing tools (Postman, Insomnia).
• Experience creating checklists or test cases aligned with development requirements; keep them updated.
• Experience using AI tools effectively in testing.
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools, preferably Jira.
• Upper-intermediate (B2) level of English; strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of an agile team on a client-side project.
• Create and maintain test cases and checklists; perform test execution and gap analysis.
• Participate in all team meetings and report bugs per guidelines.
• Provide regular progress reports and updates on testing activities.

Project Overview:

• Become part of a dedicated and professional team that helps shape commercial mobility throughout Europe. A successful candidate will work on a web application for data analysis and reporting performed on a data warehouse.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in manual testing (web apps, APIs).
• Experience with test strategies and test frameworks such as JUnit, Selenium, jmeter.
• Understanding APIs and knowing how to interpret/use them related to a REST API service, experience in working with tools for API testing (e.g., Postman, Insomnia).
• Experience in creating checklists or test cases according to the development requirements, maintaining them regularly updated.
• Usage of AI tools.
• Accuracy in reporting issues, all steps to reproduce an issue behavior.
• Familiarity with Bug Tracking tools, preferably Jira.
• Upper-intermediate (B2) level of English.
• Well-developed communication and presentation skills.

- Nice to have skills:

• Good knowledge of Agile practices and experience in SCRUM teams.
• Understanding of application flow/ business from an end-user perspective, a technical person (developer), and client point of view.
• Skills in working with CI tools: preferably Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, etc..
• Experience in working with performance testing (like Gatling, JMeter, etc.).
• Experience in working with SQL DBs.
• Experience in leading a test team and improving testing processes.
• Experience in working closely with the development team when performing testing activities.
• Any background related to fleet management or GIS applications.
• ISTQB Advanced Test Manager certification.
• Higher Education: Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar.

Responsibilities:

• Working as a part of an agile team on a client-side.
• Participating in all testing activities, including but not limited to test cases or checklists creation, test execution, gap analysis of the existing solutions, extending those according to the project requirements.
• Participating in all team meetings.
• Reporting bugs following the company guidelines.
• Regular reports of the progress and current activities.
