Job summary

Intellias in Porto is seeking a seasoned QA tester to join a dedicated team. You will work on a web application for data analysis and reporting on a data warehouse, contributing to quality across the project lifecycle.

The role requires 5+ years of manual testing, API testing, familiarity with test frameworks, and strong communication. You will collaborate in an Agile setting, report issues with clear reproduction steps, and help improve testing processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manual testing (web apps, APIs).
• Experience with test strategies and test frameworks such as JUnit, Selenium, Jmeter.
• Understanding APIs and REST API usage; experience with API testing tools like Postman and Insomnia.
• Experience in creating checklists or test cases and keeping them updated.
• Use of AI tools.
• Accurate bug reporting with reproduction steps.
• Familiarity with Jira.
• English (B2).
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of an agile team on the client side.
• Participate in test case creation, test execution, gap analysis, and extension as required.
• Join all team meetings.
• Report bugs per company guidelines.
• Provide regular progress updates.

Project Overview:

• Become part of a dedicated and professional team that helps shape commercial mobility throughout Europe. A successful candidate will work on a web application for data analysis and reporting performed on a data warehouse.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in manual testing (web apps, APIs)
• Experience with test strategies and test frameworks such as JUnit, Selenium, jmeter
• Understanding APIs and knowing how to interpret/use them related to a REST API service, experience in working with tools for API testing (e.g., Postman, Insomnia)
• Experience in creating checklists or test cases according to the development requirements, maintaining them regularly updated
• Usage of AI tools
• Accuracy in reporting issues, including all steps to reproduce an issue behavior
• Familiarity with Bug Tracking tools, preferably Jira
• Upper-intermediate (B2) level of English
• Well-developed communication and presentation skills

Nice to have skills:

• Good knowledge of Agile practices and experience in SCRUM teams
• Understanding of application flow/ business from an end-user perspective, a technical person (developer), and a client point of view
• Skills in working with CI tools: preferably Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, etc.
• Experience in working with performance testing (like Gatling, JMeter, etc.)
• Experience in working with SQL DBs
• Experience in leading a test team and improving testing processes
• Experience in working closely with the development team when performing testing activities
• Any background related to fleet management or GIS applications
• ISTQB Advanced Test Manager certification

Responsibilities:

• Working as a part of an agile team on a client-side
• Participating in all testing activities, including but not limited to test cases or checklists creation, test execution, gap analysis of the existing solutions, extending those according to the project requirements
• Participating in all team meetings
• Reporting bugs following the company guidelines
• Regular reports of the progress and current activities
