Job summary

Accenture is seeking an Integration Test Engineer to validate business-critical applications, system integrations and end-to-end processes. You will perform manual testing, manage defects in Jira/Xray, and collaborate with international teams in an Agile setting.

The role spans junior to senior levels, with emphasis on mobile app testing initially, and opportunities to grow in test tooling and traceability. Must reside in Portugal and participate in hybrid work.

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing.
• Experience in an Agile delivery model, preferably Scrum.
• Experience with functional, regression and integration testing.
• Experience in regulated environments, particularly Financial Services, is valued.
• ISTQB certification is considered an advantage.
• Availability to support migration and release weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Analyse requirements, workflows and user journeys to design test scenarios and maintain traceability.
• Execute functional, regression and integration tests; manage defects and evidence in Jira/Xray.
• Validate results with basic SQL queries and ensure data consistency.
• Support release validation, deployment and migration activities during planned weekends.

This is a Integration Test Engineer role focused on validating business-critical applications, system integrations and end-to-end business processes. You will execute functional, regression and integration testing, manage defects and testing evidence, and collaborate with development and business teams in an international Agile environment. The initial scope is expected to focus on manual testing of mobile applications, with opportunities to develop capabilities in test tooling and traceability. We are hiring across seniority levels, from Junior to Senior.

What You'll Do

• Analyse business and functional requirements, application workflows and user journeys to design, create and maintain test scenarios, test cases and supporting documentation;
• Independently execute functional, regression and integration tests, validating expected system behavior, end-to-end business processes, cross-system dependencies and interactions between applications and services;
• Validate testing results and data consistency using basic SQL queries where applicable, accurately recording execution results and maintaining requirements-to-test traceability and supporting evidence;
• Identify, document and report defects, coordinating triage, follow-up, retesting and closure through Jira and test management platforms such as Xray;
• Support release validation, deployment and migration activities, including planned release weekends, and validate fixes associated with production incidents;
• Produce structured testing documentation, status reports and defect information, collaborating with developers, analysts, business representatives and distributed international teams;

What You'll Need

• Experience in software testing;
• Experience working in an Agile delivery model, preferably Scrum;
• Experience with functional, regression and integration testing;
• Experience in regulated environments, particularly Financial Services, is valued;
• Experience with V-Model environments and an ISTQB certification are considered an advantage;
• Availability to support planned migration and release weekend activities when required

Technical Skills

• Functional testing and validation of business requirements;
• Regression testing following application changes and releases;
• Integration testing across applications, services and systems;
• Test-case creation, execution and maintenance;
• Defect identification, reporting, retesting and lifecycle management;
• Requirements analysis and requirements-to-test traceability;
• Basic SQL queries for data validation and consistency checks;
• Jira for defect tracking and workflow management;
• Microsoft Excel and Word for test-case management, evidence collection, reporting and documentation;
• Exposure to Xray or equivalent testing and test management platforms;

Profile & Other Requirements

• Professional English at C1 level, spoken and written, is mandatory;
• French and/or Dutch are considered an advantage;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail;
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders;
• Ability to work effectively across countries, cultures and remote teams;
• Strong documentation discipline and a continuous improvement mindset;
• Ability to learn new applications, tools and business processes quickly;
• Willingness to work as part of an international testing organization and support planned release activities;
• Must reside in Portugal and follow the applicable hybrid working model.

Must own a valid work permit or EU/Schengen Space nationality to legally work in Portugal.
