We Are META seeks a Senior Application Support Engineer to join our Porto team on a hybrid basis. You will support critical production environments, manage VTOM-driven workloads, and work with Oracle, SQL Server, and other databases.

The ideal candidate has 9+ years in this field, strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, PowerShell), experience with Tomcat/JBoss/Apache/IIS, and solid English (B2). Porto presence twice weekly is required with EU citizenship or valid permit.

Qualificações

• 9 years of experience as an Application Support Engineer.
• Familiar with VTOM or equivalent job schedulers for production workloads.
• Relational databases experience: Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server and/or MySQL.
• Experience with Infrastructure backups.
• Experience with Tomcat, JBoss, Apache or IIS.
• Knowledge of LDAP, Firewall, Reverse proxy, Active Directory and Kerberos; scripting languages such as Shell, Python or PowerShell.
• English language skills at least B2.
• Availability for a hybrid work model, 2 days a week in the Porto office; requires Portuguese or EU citizenship or valid Portuguese work permit.

For this position, the perfect Rhino should have the following skills:

• 9 years of experience as a Application Support Engineer
• Familiar with industrial job schedulers such as VTOM or equivalent tools, ensuring reliable execution of scheduled workloads in production environments.
• Knowledgeable in relational databases (Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, and/or MySQL), including query support, monitoring, and basic administration.
• Experience with Infrastructure backups.
• Experience with Tomcat, JBoss, Apache or IIS
• Knowledge in LDAP, Firewall, Reverse proxy, Active Diretory and Kerberos, networking and scripting languages like Shell, Python or PowerShell.
• English language skills at least a B2 level.
• Availability for a hybrid work model, 2 times a week in the Porto office (requires Portuguese or other EU citizenship, or a valid Portuguese work permit).
