Job summary

Decskill is seeking a Senior AI Solutions Developer to lead the research, development, and optimization of AI-powered solutions. You will design and deploy AI agents, implement RAG architectures, and orchestrate multiple LLM providers in a hybrid work context across Portugal’s regions and beyond.

With 6+ years in software development, you will work across vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search, focusing on token optimization, context management, and cost efficiency while collaborating

We’re looking for a Senior AI Solutions Developer (6+ years of experience) to lead the research, testing, development, and optimization of AI-powered solutions that will help drive our company’s next stage of innovation.

What you’ll be doing:

• Research, test, and develop cutting-edge AI-powered solutions and applications
• Design, build, and deploy AI agents with advanced capabilities
• Develop and maintain RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems
• Work with vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search
• Optimize token usage, context, prompts, and AI workflows for performance and cost efficiency
• Design intelligent context and hash-based context management solutions
• Integrate and orchestrate multiple LLM providers, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and others
• Identify new opportunities to apply AI across the business
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform ideas into scalable AI solutions
• Continuously research emerging AI technologies, tools, and best practices

What we’re looking for:

Experience:

• 6+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong hands-on experience building and deploying AI-powered applications

Technical skills:

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and/or Python
• Proven experience developing and deploying AI agents
• Solid experience implementing RAG architectures
• Hands-on experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, or similar
• Strong understanding of embeddings and semantic search
• Experience integrating multiple LLM providers
• Strong knowledge of prompt engineering and token optimization
• Experience with context management and optimization techniques
• Strong problem-solving mindset and a passion for experimentation and innovation

Language:

• French: C1 level or above
