Job summary

Wire IT, based in Portugal, seeks a Senior AI Solution Engineer to join our hybrid team in Vila Nova de Gaia / Porto. You will translate business problems into AI use cases, design and implement AI-enabled solutions, and collaborate across engineering, data science, and platform teams.

The role requires 5+ years in software engineering, hands-on experience with LLMs/RAG, Azure AI, and CI/CD practices, plus strong English communication. A dynamic, growing international company awaits you.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with full lifecycle knowledge.
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Working knowledge of Agentic AI systems.
• Experience with core machine learning concepts and practical implementation.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platforms and AI services.
• Hands-on DevOps practices.
• Experience developing microservices using Flask, Django, or Spring (Java).
• Practical experience with GitHub Copilot and other AI-powered developer tools.
• Ability to translate business problems into AI use cases and technical solutions.
• Experience in Agile delivery teams using Scrum/Kanban.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering, data science, and platform teams.
• Ability to document solutions and mentor junior colleagues.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.

Role: Senior AI Solution Engineer

Location: Vila Nova de Gaia / Porto (Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office)

Required skills:
