Job summary

Confidential Careers is seeking a Senior AI Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain production AI systems infrastructure in Lisbon. You will own automation pipelines, model deployment workflows, and observability across services, collaborating with ML, data, and product teams to ensure reliable AI delivery.

You will optimize scalability, security, and cost while enabling rapid iteration, governance, and rollout strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience operating ML/AI platforms in production.
• Software engineering with automation, deployment pipelines, and tooling.
• Knowledge of cloud-native infra, containers and distributed systems.
• Understanding of CI/CD, IaC, release automation and production ops.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, observability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain platforms that support production AI systems.
• Develop automated pipelines for model deployment, testing, versioning, and lifecycle management.
• Build frameworks to measure model performance, quality, cost, and business impact.
• Implement monitoring and observability across AI services and applications.
• Partner with Machine Learning Engineers to deploy and operate AI models in production.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering to improve infrastructure, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Support deployment strategies such as A/B testing, canary releases, and progressive rollouts.
• Establish governance and controls for version management, auditability, and compliance.
• Automate operational processes to improve efficiency and deployment confidence.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of AI engineering and delivery practices.
