Job summary

MineHub, a remote-first company in Portugal, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the migration from a Python monolith to TypeScript services and to own AI-powered features. You will design backend architectures, set engineering standards, and mentor engineers while collaborating with Product to turn business goals into scalable technical plans across Node.js, TypeScript, and AI pipelines.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Production-grade backend experience with scalable systems.
• Hands-on TypeScript/Node.js development.
• Experience building AI-powered features (LLM/prompting) and evaluation.
• Experience setting technical direction and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture decisions across the platform.
• Design, build, and maintain backend services in TypeScript on Node.js.
• Own architecture choices to fit business needs and scale.
• Set coding standards and engineering practices for the team.
• Lead AI-powered feature delivery, including LLM integration and AI agents.
• Mentor engineers through pairing, reviews, and internal sessions.
• Translate business goals into technical plans with stakeholders.
