act digital in Lisbon is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead the development of state-of-the-art AI systems, combining traditional machine learning with advanced LLM architectures and agentic frameworks.

You will architect end-to-end ML pipelines, scale Generative AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) with vector databases, and design agentic solutions while collaborating with data engineering and product teams to embed MLOps, testing, and thorough documentation.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of hands-on development/production ML/AI experience.
• Experience with LLMs, RAG techniques, and vector databases.
• Advanced Python with DL frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and NLP models.

Are you a Data Scientist driven by pushing the boundaries of Artificial Intelligence? Ready to design, optimize, and deploy cutting-edge AI algorithms, Generative AI models, and autonomous agentic workflows within a leading European financial group?

At act digital, we are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to lead the development of state-of-the-art AI systems, combining classic machine learning with advanced LLM architectures and Agentic frameworks.

What you will do:

• Architect & Deploy AI Systems: Build end-to-end machine learning pipelines and tailored AI solutions for complex financial challenges.
• Scale Generative AI & RAG: Fine-tune open-source and commercial Large Language Models (LLMs) and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines paired with vector databases.
• Engineer Agentic Frameworks: Design advanced agentic solutions leveraging Agent Harness architectures (memory, state management, storage, file systems), Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers/gateways, and Agent-to-Agent (A2A / ACP) communication protocols.
• Leverage Core & Traditional ML: Apply classic machine learning algorithms (decision trees, SVMs, clustering, neural networks) alongside modern deep learning models.
• Drive Operational Excellence: Collaborate with cross-functional data engineering and product teams to integrate MLOps best practices, continuous testing, and thorough documentation.

What we are looking for:

• Experience: 3+ years of hands-on expertise building, optimizing, and deploying production ML/AI models.
• Generative AI & Agentic Skills: Proven experience developing agentic workflows, working with LLMs, RAG techniques, and vector databases.
• Technical Stack: Advanced Python programming with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face) and modern NLP architectures.
• Cloud & MLOps: Practical experience deploying AI/ML workloads on Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and working with MLOps practices.
• Languages: Fluent in English (C1 level minimum); willingness to learn French.

Nice to Have: Background in RLHF (Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback), full-cycle GenAI model alignment, ethical AI/interpretability, or professional proficiency in French.
