team.it is seeking a Data Scientist / AI Engineer to join an ambitious AI transformation within a leading European financial organization in Lisbon. You will design, build, and deploy cutting-edge AI solutions across Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and autonomous agentic systems.

You will collaborate with data engineers and product teams, apply ML/NLP techniques, tune models, and ensure governance and scalable deployment.

Qualificações

• 3+ years in AI/ML or Data Science.
• Experience deploying AI solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with Generative AI and LLMs.
• Experience implementing RAG architectures and semantic search.
• Knowledge of Agentic AI, AI Agents, and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with Vector Databases.
• Advanced programming in Python.
• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, or similar.

• Fine-tune and extend language models (open-source and commercial).

Your responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy innovative AI and Machine Learning solutions.

• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
• Develop autonomous Agentic AI solutions and intelligent multi-agent systems.

• Leverage vector databases to power advanced semantic search and retrieval experiences.
• Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model optimization.
• Develop predictive and analytical models using traditional Machine Learning techniques.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Product Teams, and Business Stakeholders.
• Ensure AI solutions meet high standards of quality, reliability, scalability, and governance.
• Contribute to AI best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous innovation.

What we're looking for:

• 3+ years of experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Data Science.
• Proven experience developing and deploying AI solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience implementing RAG architectures and semantic search solutions.
• Knowledge of Agentic AI, AI Agents, orchestration frameworks, and agent communication patterns.
• Experience working with Vector Databases.
• Advanced programming skills in Python.
• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, or similar frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Experience applying Machine Learning techniques such as classification, clustering, decision trees, SVMs, and neural networks.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with MLOps practices and AI solution deployment.
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.

Nice to have:

• Experience with RLHF (Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback).
• Experience training and fine-tuning foundation models.
• Knowledge of AI governance, model explainability, and Responsible AI principles.
