Job summary

Itaú Europe is seeking a Securities Settlements Analyst to join our Custody team in Lisbon on a 6-month fixed-term contract (maternity leave cover). You will ensure timely settlements by booking and monitoring security transactions against payment, and you will handle reconciliations and broker inquiries.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in Banking, strong Excel and Access skills, and English fluency. This role offers an international, fast-paced environment with development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of Banking experience.
• Proficiency in Excel and Access.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Book and monitor of security transactions against payment to ensure the timely settlements.
• Monitoring of cancellations and corrections of transactions.
• Systematic chasing of pending trades, overdue settlements and reconciliation differences (cash and securities) and handling of broker enquiries.
• Transfer client positions free of payment (incoming and outgoing).
• Check and repair rejected SWIFT instructions; Cash management of custodian balances.
