Job summary

Sodexo Business Services (SBS) in Portugal seeks an SAP S/4HANA Data Lead to drive the data workstream for Belgium and Italy. You will coordinate data extraction, validation and preparation from legacy systems, collaborating with Capgemini, Core Model teams and local IT to ensure smooth migration.

Responsibilities include data quality, legacy-to-SAP mapping, UAT support and occasional P2P advisory on ECC6. Strong cross-country collaboration and data governance are essential.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in data management, migration or governance (SAP preferred).
• 3+ years leading SAP S/4HANA migration cycles.
• Strong knowledge of ETL tools and SAP migration methodologies.
• Understanding SAP data structures across FICO, MM, SD and Supply Chain.
• Experience coordinating multi-country data extraction activities.
• Knowledge of P2P processes in SAP ECC6.
• Ability to translate complex source-system logic into clear requirements for migration teams.

• Monitor progress, risks and dependencies; report to program management.

The SAP S4H Data Lead is a key role within the SAP S/4HANA implementation program for Belgium and Italy. The jobholder leads the data workstream and is accountable for the coordination, planning, extraction, and availability of data coming from existing systems. This includes close collaboration with the system integrator (Capgemini), Core Model teams, local IT, business stakeholders, and technical experts. The mission covers the full data extraction and preparation lifecycle—ensuring quality, completeness, and timeliness—while supporting transformation and load teams with source-system expertise. The role also provides occasional advisory support on the P2P domain within the current SAP ECC6 environment.

What will you do?

• Lead and coordinate all data extraction activities from legacy systems, defining requirements, dependencies and quality standards to meet migration cycle deadlines
• Prepare and deliver validated data extracts to migration teams, analysing source data structures and anomalies and supporting issue resolution during transformation and load
• Perform validation and reconciliation to ensure accurate migration results
• Act as the main counterpart for the integrator (Capgemini) on legacy data topics, providing documentation and supporting problem-solving across migration cycles
• Oversee mapping from legacy structures to SAP S/4HANA core data model, working with business owners to improve data quality (cleansing and enrichment)
• Support UAT and testing phases through data preparation and validation
• Coordinate business, IT and partner teams, monitor progress, risks and dependencies, and report regularly to program management
• Create and maintain documentation, templates and methodological guides to support future country roll-outs
• Provide occasional P2P advisory support on the current SAP ECC6 system (diagnostics, root-cause analysis and recommendations)

What You Need to Suceed

Experience & Technical Skills

• 5-7 years of experience in data management, migration or governance, preferably in SAP environments
• 3+ years leading SAP S/4HANA migration cycles
• Strong knowledge of ETL tools and SAP migration methodologies (Migration Cockpit, LSMW, SAP Data Services)
• Solid understanding of SAP data structures across FICO, MM, SD and Supply Chain
• Experience coordinating multi-country data extraction activities
• Knowledge of P2P processes in SAP ECC6
• Ability to translate complex source-system logic into clear requirements for migration teams

• Strong communication and stakeholder management across IT, business and integrator teams
• Leadership and coordination in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
