Natixis in Portugal seeks a Finance Reporting Specialist to contribute to production, control and analysis of financial reporting deliverables. You will work with the Projects team in Paris and interact with IT and Finance on data quality, controls and process improvements.

The role requires a master’s degree in finance or related field and at least 3 years in financial reporting or performance steering, with advanced Excel and reporting tool experience. A hybrid work model is offered in Porto.

Qualificações

  • Master's degree in finance or related field with 3+ years in financial reporting or control.
  • Strong data analytics and numerical precision with attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel and experience with reporting tools (Power BI, Anaplan, Tagetik).
  • Fluent English; French is a plus for cross-border collaboration.

Job Description

You will join a newly created role within the Financial Performance & Capital Steering Department in Porto, with a functional reporting line to the Projects team based in Paris.

Your mission will be to contribute to the production, control and analysis of financial reporting deliverables while ensuring their reliability, consistency and timely delivery. Between reporting cycles, you will also contribute to transformation initiatives and continuous improvement efforts aimed at enhancing processes, tools and reporting capabilities.

To this end, you will:

  • Produce, control and analyze financial reporting deliverables:
    • Prepare recurring financial reports and management information used for financial steering and regulatory exercises;
    • Perform controls, reconciliations and consistency checks to ensure data quality, reliability and completeness;
    • Analyze reporting results, investigate variances and identify key business drivers;
    • Contribute to resolving data quality and reporting issues in coordination with relevant stakeholders;
    • Ensure compliance with reporting timelines and quality standards.
  • Management Balance Sheet reporting (assets, liabilities and off-balance-sheet items allocated by business line);
  • Management FINREP reporting;
  • Short-Term Exercise (STE) collected for SREP purposes;
  • Contribute to transformation and continuous improvement initiatives: between reporting cycles, you will:
    • Identify opportunities to simplify, streamline and automate reporting processes and controls;
    • Participate in projects impacting reporting processes, management information systems and data flows;
    • Work closely with IT, Finance and project teams to implement approved enhancements and business requirements;
    • Support testing, deployment and user acceptance activities related to reporting tools and reporting data;
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting governance, methodologies and operating models.
  • Foster collaboration across Finance and with other stakeholders:
    • Act as a key point of contact for reporting-related topics;
    • Build strong relationships with Finance and IT teams, as well as with contributors and recipients of reporting deliverables;
    • Support users in understanding reporting outputs, controls and methodologies;
    • Promote best practices in data quality, reporting governance and continuous improvement.

You will work in a dynamic environment at the intersection of Finance and Information Systems.

You will collaborate closely with Financial Steering, Projects and IT teams to ensure the reliability, efficiency and continuous improvement of reporting processes and tools.

Qualifications

Who are you? If you recognize yourself in the description below, you are meant to work with us:

  • You hold a master’s degree in finance, Data Analytics or a related field and have at least 3 years of experience in financial reporting, financial control, performance steering or similar Finance activities.
  • You have a strong interest in data, reporting production and financial analysis.
  • You are recognized for your analytical mindset, rigor and attention to detail. You enjoy understanding figures, investigating variances and explaining results.
  • You are comfortable handling large volumes of data and transforming complex information into clear and actionable insights.
  • You demonstrate curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance processes, controls and automation.
  • You are comfortable working in a cross-functional environment involving Finance, IT and project teams.
  • You possess strong communication and coordination skills and can interact effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Your advanced proficiency in Excel enables you to produce high-quality analyses. Knowledge of reporting and visualization tools such as Anaplan, Tagetik, Power BI, EasyMorph or similar solutions would be appreciated.
  • Experience participating in Finance transformation, reporting enhancement or data governance initiatives would be considered an asset.
  • Your fluent English (minimum B2 level) enables you to work effectively in an international environment and collaborate with multicultural teams.
  • French is a plusas this role involves frequent and regular interactions with Paris-based Finance, Project and IT teams.
