Job summary

CloudLinux is seeking an experienced Staff Engineer for TuxCare products (KernelCare and SecureChain). The role is ~70% hands-on software engineering and ~30% technical product ownership, focusing on end-to-end delivery, reliability, and enterprise-grade security.

You will work autonomously in a fully remote setup, guiding architecture and implementing production-ready features. The position requires strong Python and Linux skills, system design capability, and excellent English communication

Qualifications

• Proven experience owning major projects end-to-end.
• Strong hands-on Python development.
• Strong Linux production environment experience.
• Experience turning broad needs into technical plans and milestones.
• Independent worker with ability to communicate across teams.
• Advanced written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Own major product components and workstreams from discovery to production release.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, sales and stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Translate goals into technical plans, milestones and tasks.
• Design scalable architectures and make high-impact technical decisions.
• Build and maintain production-grade components with reliability and security in mind.
• Track progress, communicate blockers, risks, dependencies and changes.
• Research relevant technologies, tools and market approaches as needed.
• Contribute to engineering quality through reviews, mentorship and best practices.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools as part of regular workflow.
