Job summary

Naphora Games Group is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, operate, and scale robust backend systems for world‑class games. This fully remote role aligns with our Saudi schedule and involves API development, AI integrations, and scalable architectures.

You will collaborate across engineering and product teams, ensure reliability, and contribute to live operations while embracing modern AI services to enhance our products and workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience or equivalent
• Strong background in designing, building, and maintaining production backends
• Proven experience with live systems serving large user bases
• Experience operating or supporting production environments in LiveOps or platform operations
• Hands-on experience integrating AI tools, models, LLMs, or AI APIs into production systems
• Ability to design end-to-end AI-enabled workflows connecting AI services with backend systems

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems, services, and APIs
• Contribute to system architecture and long-term technical decisions
• Build service layers and reusable components for multiple products
• Design and optimize database schemas, queries, indexing, and data models
• Build asynchronous systems using queues, workers, scheduled jobs, and event-driven workflows
• Develop integrations with external platforms, APIs, and third-party services
• Monitor, diagnose, and resolve production incidents and bottlenecks
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Data, and Infrastructure teams
• Implement AI integrations and workflows within backend platforms
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions
