This is a fully remote position open to candidates from any location. You’ll need to be available during our Saudi Arabia working schedule (Sunday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM KSA time).

The role combines hands‑on gameplay development with technical leadership. You’ll use Unity and C# to design, build and optimize the core systems that make our games feel great to play, and you’ll set the technical standards the rest of the team builds on.

You’ll work closely with Game Design, Art, Product, Engineering and AI Engineering in a fast‑paced environment where rapid prototyping, experimentation and iteration are central to how we work.

Responsibilities

  • Implement game mechanics, controls, physics, camera and AI behaviors
  • Own the architecture of gameplay systems, making sure they are scalable, modular and reusable across titles and prototypes
  • Make sound technical decisions that balance speed, quality and long‑term maintainability
Prototyping & Iteration
  • Work with designers to prototype and iterate on new gameplay concepts quickly
  • Turn design ideas into playable builds fast, then refine them based on playtests, feedback and data
  • Support games moving from prototype to production and through Soft Launch
Code Quality & Performance
  • Write clean, modular, well‑documented code, and maintain it over time
  • Profile and optimize gameplay for performance, memory and stability across a wide range of mobile devices
  • Lead debugging of complex gameplay issues and help resolve them across the codebase
Collaboration & Technical Leadership
  • Work closely with artists, designers, product and other programmers to understand requirements and contribute creatively to development
  • Review code and set gameplay programming standards and best practices
  • Mentor mid‑level and junior programmers through pairing, code reviews and feedback
  • Take part in team meetings and give input on technical feasibility, visuals, scope and timelines
  • Stay current with the latest game development trends, tools and techniques, and bring useful ones to the team
Success Looks Like
  • Gameplay that feels responsive, polished and fun on every target device
  • Prototypes that go from concept to playable quickly, so ideas get tested and validated early
  • Gameplay systems the team can reuse and extend without rewrites
  • Stable, well‑performing builds that hit performance and memory targets
  • Realistic timelines and early flags when scope or technical risks threaten delivery
  • A stronger engineering team through code reviews, mentoring and clear standards
  • Strong ownership of gameplay features from first prototype through launch and live iteration
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in mobile game development, with significant time on hybrid‑casual titles (Unity required)

  • At least 4 shipped mobile titles, or equivalent experience taking prototypes through to launch
  • Deep understanding of game architecture, design patterns and gameplay systems
  • Strong grasp of mobile optimization, profiling and performance constraints
  • Proven ability to own complex features end to end and make sound technical decisions independently
  • Experience reviewing code and mentoring other programmers
  • A problem‑solving mindset and comfort in a fast‑paced prototyping environment
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team‑oriented approach
  • Ability to deliver under tight deadlines and adapt quickly to feedback
  • Experience taking games through Soft Launch and live operations
  • Experience with game analytics, A/B testing and data‑informed iteration
