Mercor is seeking a Korean Transcription Expert for fully remote work. You will source Korean PDFs with multimodal elements, annotate regions, and transcribe Hangul text with exact character accuracy.

Responsibilities include metadata capture, linking regions to parents, and peer review by a second Korean expert. Experience in bilingual transcription or AI training data is preferred. This contract role offers flexible remote work from Portugal, with hourly compensation of $34.

Qualificações

• Native Korean speaker with Hangul and hanja mastery.
• Experience in bilingual transcription, translation, editorial work, or AI training data.
• Must reproduce text with exact character-level accuracy.
• Apply taxonomy consistently across pages.
• Comfort with layouts such as multi-column newspapers and handwritten forms.

Responsabilidades

• Source and annotate Korean PDFs with multimodal elements and record sources.
• Identify, bound, and assign component types and reading order for all regions.
• Link regions to parent components like figures or tables.
• Transcribe Hangul text exactly, flag illegible areas.
• Capture document metadata and assess tables, formulas, and handwriting.
• Review work end-to-end with a peer Korean expert.
