Jobgether seeks a Devices & IoT Field Engineering Manager in Portugal to lead a regional team of field engineers. You will drive presales, solution architecture, and professional services, blending hands-on technical work with people management and customer engagement.

You will coach engineers, promote engineering excellence, and contribute insights to product and engineering teams, operating within a globally distributed environment.

Qualificações

• Undergraduate degree in CS or related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience with embedded Linux including Yocto or similar technologies.
• Strong Linux expertise; Debian/Ubuntu familiarity is a plus.
• Experience leading a small engineering/technical team.
• Proven ability to work with customers in technical, consulting, or presales contexts.
• Ability to communicate complex tech in business terms.
• Knowledge of connected devices, IoT, edge computing, and secure device fleets.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong interpersonal skills, curiosity, adaptability, accountability, and collaboration.
• Willingness to travel internationally ~2x per year for events up to two weeks.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and develop a team of Field Engineers across presales and professional services.
• Set team objectives, priorities, and track progress against goals.
• Partner with leadership to shape strategy and priorities.
• Champion engineering excellence and disciplined processes.
• Coach engineers and support career development.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers on Linux and IoT.
• Represent the team to customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Monitor health indicators and improve collaboration and performance.
• Provide market feedback to Product and Engineering teams.
• Coordinate with globally distributed teams within a major time zone.
• Support international travel for events as required.
