Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Senior Security Operations Engineer based in Portugal. You will join a high-impact security engineering environment focused on building and operating a world-class Security Operations function.

You’ll lead threat detection, incident response, and the design of automated security platforms, while mentoring engineers in a distributed, remote-first team and contributing to open source security initiatives.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, STEM, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years in cybersecurity and/or software engineering.
• Security operations experience, ideally leading a SOC.
• Strong Python and Bash scripting.
• Experience with Git, GitOps, IaC, and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of security monitoring, threat hunting, incident response, and remediation.

Responsabilidades

• Provide operational and technical leadership across security operations initiatives.
• Design, build, deploy, and operate security software, platforms, and tooling.
• Monitor environments, identify threats, investigate incidents, coordinate responses, remediate.
• Assess and improve security controls to strengthen posture.
• Apply software engineering and SRE principles to automate security processes.
• Mentor early-career Security Operations engineers.
