Job summary

MOZAYDO in Lisbon is seeking a Backend Developer with 5+ years of professional experience to contribute to a document management project using Java and Spring Boot. Priority will be given to candidates with knowledge of document management processes, OCR and GenAI.

You will develop and maintain applications, adopt AI tools, and collaborate with the Product Owner and production support. This is a full-time, hybrid role with 2 days on-site per week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• Experience with document management processes and OCR/GenAI is a plus.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Docker/Kubernetes and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications.
• Identify application best practices and solutions.
• Adopt AI tools to support development.
• Support junior developers by specifying tasks and monitoring deliverables.
• Provide assistance and knowledge transfer to the production support team.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner.
