ComplyAdvantage in Lisbon is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to lead the design and evolution of our data platform powering AML/KYC and Fraud products. You will shape the medium to long term technical direction for data infrastructure and partner with engineering, data science, product and SRE leadership.

You will own data pipelines, lineage, quality and observability, work with Kafka, Kubernetes, cloud services (AWS/GCP), and coach engineers across tribes while representing ComplyAdvantage at

Qualificações

• Substantial experience designing and operating production grade data platforms at high scale.
• Deep expertise in distributed data systems: streaming and batch processing, data contracts and observability.
• Strong production Python experience; familiar with Kotlin/Java for direction and review.

Responsabilidades

• Define and own the data platform architecture supporting AML/KYC, sanctions, and fraud products.
• Lead architectural decisions across multiple tribes and coach engineers at all levels.
• Partner with ML/data science teams to enable feature engineering and online inference at scale.
• Represent engineering at meetups and industry events and drive standardization across teams.
