Intermedia is seeking a skilled backend engineer to design, build and scale the services powering our agent platform. You will collaborate with frontend, AI/ML, product, UX, and platform teams to deliver robust APIs and reliable workflows.

You'll work in a primarily remote environment with occasional visits to offices in Coimbra, Aveiro, and planned Porto, contributing to a fast-paced, quality-focused engineering culture that values observable, secure, and scalable systems.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4–7 years of professional software engineering experience developing backend applications and services.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD, source control, and modern software development practices.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers and UX teams to translate capabilities into product experiences.
• Work with product managers to translate customer needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Contribute to technical design decisions for orchestration, configuration, and integration.
