Intermedia seeks an Associate Software Developer to join its Dev & Engineering team in Portugal. You will help build backend services and customer-facing platforms, collaborating with experienced engineers to deliver secure and maintainable features.

The role emphasizes backend development, APIs, cloud services, and enterprise systems, with a strong learning curve and remote-friendly setup that may include occasional office visits.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/IT or related field.
• Good knowledge of one or more backend programming languages and frameworks.
• Foundational understanding of OOP, data structures and software design.
• Experience developing or consuming REST APIs.
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL; MS SQL Server helpful.
• Familiarity with testing, Git and collaborative software practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn.
• Clear communication and collaboration abilities.
• Interest in workflow automation; exposure to JavaScript/TypeScript and framework (React/Angular) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile, CI/CD, cloud platforms or DevOps is beneficial.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, test and maintain backend services.
• Integrate enterprise data, APIs and workflow automation into customer-facing products.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and integrations with internal and external systems.
• Write readable, maintainable, and testable code following engineering standards.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting and discussions with engineers.
• Collaborate with product, UX, data, security, QA and platform teams to release new features.
• Investigate and resolve issues across backend services, APIs, databases and integrations.
• Continue developing knowledge of backend engineering and cloud technology.
