Capgemini Engineering is seeking an N2 Specialized Support Engineer to join our Network Operations team in Porto. The role focuses on advanced support for mobile access networks, ensuring service stability, SLA compliance, and operational excellence.

This position covers both Intermediate and Intermediate-Senior profiles, involving incident management, RCA, and continuous improvement initiatives within a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and resolve complex incidents escalated from Level 1 support.
• Coordinate escalations with Level 3 support teams, vendors, and technology partners.
• Perform technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis for recurring issues.
• Execute and support planned maintenance activities, upgrades, and special operations.
• Monitor network performance and service quality, ensuring SLA adherence.
• Produce technical reports, operational documentation and dashboards.
• Support critical incidents, major events and service restoration activities.
• Collaborate with Network Operations, Engineering, Service Management and Customer Support.

YOUR ROLE

We are looking for an N2 Specialized Support Engineer to join our Network Operations team, providing advanced support for mobile access network services and ensuring service stability, operational excellence, and SLA compliance.

The role covers both Intermediate and Intermediate-Senior profiles, with responsibilities ranging from incident management and operational support to technical leadership, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve complex incidents escalated from Level 1 support.
• Coordinate escalations with Level 3 support teams, vendors, and technology partners.
• Perform technical troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.
• Execute and support planned maintenance activities, upgrades, and special operations, including out-of-hours interventions when required.
• Monitor network performance and service quality, ensuring SLA adherence.
• Produce technical reports, operational documentation, performance dashboards, and post-mortem analyses.
• Support critical incidents, major events, and service restoration activities.
• Collaborate with Network Operations, Engineering, Service Management, and Customer Support teams.
• Contribute to process optimization, service improvements, and technology evolution initiatives.
• Ensure operational readiness of network platforms and infrastructure.

YOUR PROFILE

Experience in one or more of the following technologies is desirable:

• Ericsson Radio Networks (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G) Nokia Radio Networks (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G) Virtualized network elements (ASBSC, CBAN, NCIR, NADCM) OMS platforms Nokia transmission solutions (EMIL, MEGAMON, MEGAPLEXER, UTF) Dell switching technologies FEMTO solutions NRIF platforms Ericsson TCU and R6K systems
• Intermediate Experience in telecom operations, network support, or service assurance environments. Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills. Ability to work with operational procedures and technical documentation. Good communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Intermediate-Senior Several years of experience in network operations and support environments. Proven expertise in managing critical incidents and complex technical escalations. Experience leading RCA activities and driving service improvement initiatives. Ability to coordinate stakeholders across operations, engineering, and vendor teams. Strong analytical, reporting, and decision-making skills.
