Capgemini Engineering is seeking a RAN Planning Engineer to optimize and expand our wireless network infrastructure. You will design, implement, and maintain radio access networks to ensure optimal coverage, capacity, and performance.

The role requires a 5+ year background in RAN planning, familiarity with 2G–5G, RF planning tools like Atoll and Planet, and strong analytical and collaborative skills. Hybrid work in Portugal is offered with opportunities on national and international projects.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree required in electrical engineering, computer science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in RAN planning and engineering.
• Strong understanding of cellular technologies (2G-5G).
• Proficiency with RF planning and propagation modeling tools such as Atoll and Planet.
• Experience with network performance optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of RAN KPIs and optimization parameters.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong communication and teamwork.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct RF planning and propagation modeling to determine optimal cell site locations and antenna configurations.
• Analyze network performance data to identify improvements and optimize parameters.
• Design and implement network expansion plans to meet demand and improve coverage.
• Coordinate with network operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Stay up-to-date with latest RAN technologies and trends.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including diagrams and procedures.
