Job summary

Air Liquide ALEBS Evolution in Lisbon seeks an experienced Finance & Accounting specialist to manage general ledger postings, perform month and year-end closings, and ensure VAT, statistics, Central Bank, and Intrastat reporting accuracy.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Accounting/Finance, 4+ years in a similar role, experience in a multinational company, and at least intermediate English; additional languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/Finance;
• 4+ years in a similar function.
• Experience in Business Services Center is a plus.
• Experience in a multinational company is desirable.
• Intermediate English (written and spoken).
• Extra languages are valued (e.g. Arabic; Spanish; French; Italian; German; Swedish).

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger accounting and post journal entries.
• Execute and/or validate VAT, Statistics, Central Bank, Intrastat reporting.
• Support Finance Business Partner with year-end activities.
• Open and close accounting periods according to the closing calendar.
• Perform month-end closing activities according to schedule.
• Perform accounts analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Record fixed assets transactions following local GAAP and IFRS.
• Prepare, upload and verify IRIS reporting and consolidated packages.
• Publish reporting packages and address IRIS/ERP gaps when needed.
• Support consolidation team queries and audit activities.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW

• Performance General Ledger Account
• Ensure that all journal entries are posted
• Execute and/or validate legal requirements reports (e.g. VAT, Statistics, Central bank, Intrastat)
• Support Finance Business Partner with year end activities
• Open and close acccounting periods according to the closing calendar
• Perform and/or validate month closing activities according to schedule defined
• Performs Accounts analysis
• Perform Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
• Perform Sub-ledger to Ledger reconciliations
• Analyze and follow up unjustified entries
• Performs the asset accounting
• Follow up investment orders/assets under construction in a monthly basis with the Operations Controller and/or Plant Managers
• Record all fixed assets transactions ensuring both local GAAP and IFRS principles
• Reporting
• Prepair, upload and/or verify IRIS reporting and consolidated packages
• Publish reporting packages
• Verify and justify the gaps IRIS and ERP, if needed
• Support consolidation team queries
• Assure audit activities are correctly executed within defined deadlines

Are you a MATCH

• Degree in Accounting / Financial / Management / Economy
• More than 4 years in similar function
• Experience in Business Services Center is a plus
• Experience In a Multinational Company Is Desirable
• Intermediate in English (written and spoken)
