Job summary

Komodo Consulting is seeking a QA Tester to work on a technology project. The role requires 2+ years in QA/testing, and experience with Jira or Azure DevOps in an Agile environment. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement in Lisbon or Coimbra, with at least two days per week in the office.

You will define test strategies, build testing frameworks, and coordinate test cycles across Sprint, Release, and rollout phases while collaborating with developers to ensure quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of QA/testing experience.
• Experience with ALM tools Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Ability to define test strategies and build testing frameworks.
• Experience with Agile test cycles (Sprint, Release, rollout).
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• Residing in Portugal; available for hybrid work in Lisbon or Coimbra.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement a test strategy aligned with project testing requirements.
• Build and maintain a framework for test case identification, creation, execution, reporting, and documentation.
• Implement test cycles at Sprint, Release, and rollout levels within an Agile environment.
• Review deliverables and outcomes from a validation perspective.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure compliance and approvals.

The Project

We are seeking a QA Tester to work on a technology project.

You will have the following responsibilities:

• Define and implement a test strategy aligned with project testing requirements;
• Build and maintain a framework for test case identification, creation, execution, reporting, and documentation;
• Implement test cycles at Sprint, Release, and rollout levels within an Agile environment;
• Review deliverables and outcomes from a validation perspective;
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure compliance and that all necessary reviews and approvals are completed.

You need to have the following skills/experience:

• 2+ years of experience in QA/Testing;
• Experience with ALM tools — Jira and/or Azure DevOps;
• Proven ability to define test strategies and build testing frameworks;
• Experience with Agile test cycles, including Sprint, Release, and rollout phases;
• English proficiency at B2 level or above;
• Currently residing in Portugal;
• Availability for a hybrid working model in Lisbon or Coimbra (minimum 2 days per week at the office);
• Nice to have: experience with CI/CD pipelines;
• Nice to have: experience with AI/LLM technologies;
• Nice to have: ISTQB or ASTQB certification.
