The role involves collaboration with developers and QA teams to ensure high quality deliverables. Candidates should have at least 4 years of experience and familiarity with tools such as JIRA, GIT, and Jenkins. Responsibilities include implementing functional and integration tests, with Portuguese and English fluency required. This is a full-time position with part of the work done on-site.

Automation Tester

Responsibilities / Main activities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts.
• Build and improve robust, reusable test automation frameworks.
• Implement and execute functional, integration, and API tests.
• Collaborate closely with developers and other QA professionals to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to integrate testing into the software development lifecycle and the CI/CD pipeline.
• Analyse and report bugs, providing clear documentation and test evidence.
• Work with data formats such as Excel and CSV for test input/output.
• Stay updated with the latest QA methodologies and tools to enhance testing processes.

Professional Knowledge and Expertise

• 4+ years of experience as a QA automation engineer.
• Proven experience working with BDD and Gherkin test case languages.
• Experience with web application backend testing and Continuous Integration processes.
• Familiarity with version control, defect tracking, and test management tools (GIT, Jenkins, JIRA).
• Basic Java language knowledge.
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience in the use of CI/CD platforms and Kubernetes.
• ISTQB is a plus.
• Good BDD methodology knowledge.
• Good Java Knowledge is an add value but not mandatory.

This position will require:

• 2 days per week presence at our office.
• Portuguese and English fluence.
• Basic functional knowledge is a plus.
• Java knowlege is a plus.
