Job summary

Vodafone in Lisbon is seeking a Public Affairs Specialist to support the implementation of its public affairs strategy, monitor national and EU policy developments, and ensure alignment with business priorities.

You will draft briefings, position papers and consultations, map stakeholders, and represent Vodafone in industry associations, building strong relationships with key stakeholders and teams across the company.

Qualifications

• Degree in Economics, Law or Political Science (or related field).
• Strong writing, analytical and research abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative mindset and stakeholder relationship capabilities.
• Experience or interest in public affairs, regulatory or European policy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor national and EU policy developments and inform senior leadership.
• Prepare summaries, briefings, presentations and internal updates.
• Draft consultation responses, position papers and institutional communications.
• Map stakeholders, prepare meetings, and manage follow-up activities.
• Represent Vodafone in industry associations and meetings with external stakeholders.
• Ensure timely delivery of monitoring and briefing materials.

What you’ll do

• Monitorindustry trends and relevant national and EU policy developmentsto provide senior leadership of emerging risks/opportunities and informed positions;
• Prepare summaries, briefings,presentationsand internal updates;
• Support the drafting of consultation responses, positionpapersand institutional communications;
• Stakeholder mapping, meeting preparation,engagementand follow-up activities;
• Support responses to information requests, ensuring compliance and liaising with internal teams as needed;
• Represent Vodafone in industry associations andmeetings with key external stakeholders;
• Timely andaccuratedeliveryof monitoring,researchand briefing materials;
• Quality ofadvocacy contributions;
• Effectivestakeholder engagement plans,representationand policy wins.

Who you are

• Degree in Economics, Law, Political Science, or related field;
• Strong interestinthetelcoanddigital policymatters;
• Strong writing, analytical and research skills;
• Good organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities;
• Collaborative approach,excellent communicationskillsand ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships;
• Experience or willingness to develop policyexpertiseand stakeholder engagement capabilities;
• Initial experience or strong interest in public affairs, regulatory affairs, telco and digital policy or European affairs would be valued;
• English and Portuguese language (spoken and written).
