Synopsys Inc in Portugal seeks a senior project/program manager with 10+ years of customer-facing experience to lead cross-functional engineering initiatives in a fast-paced environment; you will define scope, plans, risks, and senior stakeholder updates.

This role may be performed in Lisbon or Porto and requires strong communication, Jira/MS Project proficiency, UNIX/Linux familiarity, and mentoring of team members to drive delivery excellence.

Qualificações

• A degree in Engineering, Applied Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of experience in customer-facing project or program management within an engineering environment.
• Strong ability to manage customer expectations and communicate complex technical topics clearly.
• Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project preferred) and issue-tracking systems such as Jira.
• Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments.
• Familiarity with the development process for Mixed-Signal IP, SoC, or ASIC development programs.
• Understanding of quality management system (QMS) processes and procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with cross-functional engineering, product, and business teams to define project scope, requirements, and success criteria.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Track project execution against plan, proactively identify risks and issues, and drive mitigation, escalation, and resolution.
• Communicate project status, milestones, and key risks to internal stakeholders and senior leadership with clarity and transparency.
• Represent R&D in customer engagements, ensuring alignment on commitments, execution plans, and delivery expectations.
• Evaluate and manage change requests and technical issues reported by customers, coordinating timely and effective responses.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and IP Program Management teams during pre-sales and post-sales activities.
• Ensure adherence to quality management system processes and drive continuous improvement in project execution.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Partner with cross‑functional engineering, product, and business teams to define project scope, requirements, and success criteria.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Track project execution against plan, proactively identify risks and issues, and drive mitigation, escalation, and resolution.
• Communicate project status, milestones, and key risks to internal stakeholders and senior leadership with clarity and transparency.
• Represent R&D in customer engagements, ensuring alignment on commitments, execution plans, and delivery expectations.
• Evaluate and manage change requests and technical issues reported by customers, coordinating timely and effective responses.
• Manage product updates triggered silicon process updates, design updates, and customer feedback
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and IP Program Management teams during pre‑sales and post‑sales activities.
• Ensure adherence to quality management system processes and drive continuous improvement in project execution.
• Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and innovative working environment.

This position could be performed in Lisbon or Porto.
