Job summary

EID, a leading high-tech company in Portugal, seeks a Production Test Technician to ensure functional, electrical, and mechanical conformity across production lines. You will execute tests, identify anomalies, and contribute to continuous quality improvements.

You will collaborate with Production, Process, Engineering and Quality teams, support circuit design, method validation, and component selection while adhering to technical specifications. English proficiency is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in Telecommunications, Electronics, or Mechatronics.
• More than 2 years of experience as a Test Technician.
• Knowledge of test tools and methodologies.
• Software/hardware knowledge and diagnostic skills.
• English language skills are mandatory.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

As a Production Test Technician, you'll ensure the functional, electrical and/or mechanical conformity of articles throughout the production process: executing tests, identifying anomalies, and contributing to the continuous improvement of manufacturing quality and efficiency. You'll serve as a critical link between production and engineering, ensuring that what leaves the factory meets the defined technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Test Execution: Execute functional and/or electrical validation tests on articles, in accordance with current procedures and technical specifications. Install, configure, and test communication systems. Carry out assembly operations according to technical documentation and company standards.

Diagnostics & Repair: Identify, register, diagnose, analyse, and report failures, defects, or deviations found during testing. Repair detected faults by analysing the corresponding electrical schematics or other product documentation.

Traceability & Documentation: Ensure traceability of tested products through the correct completion of test records in the production IT systems. Verify Manufacturing and Catalogue IMTE (EIME in Portuguese). Produce and archive Test Reports and the associated internal verification records.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the Production, Process, Engineering, and Quality teams on the resolution of technical problems. Participate in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Contribute to the continuous improvement of test processes, equipment, and methods. Work with Engineering on product testing and validation, and on circuit design, assisting with component selection and the implementation of electrical schematics.

What You'll Bring

• Technical qualification in Telecommunications, Electronics, or Mechatronics

• More than 2 years of experience as a Test Technician

• Knowledge of test tools

• Knowledge of test methodologies

• Software / hardware knowledge

• Ability to analyse failures and perform technical diagnostics

• English language skills - mandatory
