Job summary

Airbus Portugal is seeking a Procurement Sustainability Specialist to lead sustainability topics within a supplier portfolio and to enhance S2P practices. You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to drive corrective actions and embed sustainability into procurement decisions.

The role requires strong ESG knowledge, data interpretation, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic, multicultural environment with multiple tools and data flows.

Qualifications

• University degree as stated or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Deep understanding of sustainability principles and their application in procurement and supply chain.
• Advanced proficiency in ESG criteria and procurement tools.
• Ability to interpret data and use Google Workspace autonomously.
• Proactive in proposing process improvements.
• Ability to work independently within established practices.

Job description

We are now looking for a Procurement Sustainability Specialist for our Airbus GBS team.

Responsibilities - your mission

• Manage the end-to-end sustainability topics for a specific commodity/entity or supplier portfolio with minimal supervision.
• Ability to identify and suggest enhancements to existing S2P (Source-to-Pay) sustainability practices and tools.
• Coordinate directly with internal and external stakeholders to drive corrective action plans and ensure adherence to Airbus sustainability criteria.
• Ability to influence internal stakeholders in order to have sustainability requirements integrated into standard procurement processes and supplier selection criteria.
• Provide guidance to junior colleagues on technical tools and established procurement practices.

Requirements - our ideal candidate will have:

• University degree in Business, Supply Chain, Environmental Science or an equivalent combination of education and /or experience.
• Deep understanding of sustainability principles (e.G., Carbon Footprint, Environmental compliance, Scope 3 emissions), their application in a corporate environment and how these intersect with procurement and supply chain operations.
• Advanced proficiency in procurement systems and sustainability ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria and ways of working.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and to use autonomously and proactively the Google Workspace.
• Ability to proactively propose improvement to existent processes and implement them.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently within established practices and make decisions on standard operational issues.
• Strong organizational skills and a rigorous approach to managing multiple tasks with high accuracy.
• Proactive learner capable of applying theoretical knowledge to practical, structured work assignments.
• Ability to manage different stakeholders and facilitate organizational change through clear and persuasive communication.
• Fluency in English sufficient to fully engage in negotiations and team meetings.
• Able to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment with a lot of different and complex tools and flows of topics/data.
