Job summary

Axians Portugal is seeking a Personal Data Protection Analyst to join an international project. You will support GDPR compliance, privacy by design, and governance, coordinating data subject requests and maintaining privacy documentation.

You will work with project teams and governance functions to strengthen privacy culture, deliver reports, and drive continuous improvement in privacy processes across the organization.

Qualifications

• Degree in Law, Information Technology, Information Security, Business Management, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Data Protection, GDPR Compliance, Privacy, Risk, or Governance.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR principles and data protection regulations.
• Experience supporting Privacy by Design reviews and project validation processes.
• Experience handling Data Subject Rights Requests and privacy-related inquiries.
• Understanding of data protection governance frameworks and compliance controls.
• Experience drafting reports, maintaining documentation, and tracking compliance activities.
• Knowledge of data lifecycle management and personal data processing principles.

Responsibilities

• Ensure project validation processes comply with Privacy by Design principles and applicable data protection requirements.
• Support Project Managers and stakeholders in implementing data protection controls throughout project lifecycles.
• Provide guidance on GDPR-related matters and data protection best practices.
• Manage incoming requests through dedicated GDPR channels, including internal and external privacy-related requests.
• Handle and coordinate Data Subject Rights Requests in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and publish periodic GDPR activity and compliance reports.
• Maintain privacy-related documentation and collaboration spaces.
• Support monitoring and tracking of data protection activities and action plans.
• Contribute to a privacy culture across the organization.
• Collaborate with data protection, governance, and compliance stakeholders.
• Develop and share best practices across the data protection network.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to privacy governance and compliance processes.
