EDP in Lisbon, Portugal, is seeking a Power Markets Analyst to monitor regulatory and electricity market environments across geographies, build price and remuneration forecasts for electricity and green attributes, and support market reports guiding BESS opportunities and auctions.

The ideal candidate has an Engineering or quantitative degree, 3-4 years in a related role, knowledge of power markets, and proficiency in Python or R; fluent in Spanish and English.

Qualificações

• Engineering degree (or equivalent quantitative degree) with a focus on power markets, data science, or statistics is valued.
• 3-4 years in a similar role within energy or power markets preferred.
• Knowledge of electricity sector, power markets, and BESS is required.
• Experience modelling in Python or R and strong analytical skills are essential.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor regulatory and electricity market environments across EDP geographies.
• Forecast electricity prices and remuneration, including green attributes, for various geographies.
• Follow regulatory developments affecting operations and assess risk from proposals at national and EU level.
• Develop forecasts of ancillary services prices and volumes for different markets.
• Support auctions and identify opportunities for BESS deployments and market entry.
