EDP Renewables is seeking a forward-thinking Energy Markets Settlement Analyst in Lisbon. This hybrid, full-time role focuses on settlement validation across OMIE and related markets, reporting, IT requirements, and data integrity to support accurate and efficient processes.

The ideal candidate has a Master's degree in Engineering or Mathematics, up to 2 years of experience, strong Excel/Power BI skills, and fluency in English with basic Spanish; SQL and market knowledge are a plus.

Responsabilidades

  • Perform settlement validation for organized electricity markets, mainly OMIE and REN/REE.
  • Maintain and implement the Energy Markets reporting line with periodic and special reports.
  • Support transversal settlement activities and IT requirements as an Agile Analyst.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess impacts on MIBEL.
  • Ensure data integrity in GEM databases, identify data gaps.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and internal teams to improve processes.

We are looking for a forward-thinking junior professional with strong analytical and system modelling skills to join our team as an Energy Markets Settlement Analyst.

This role is central to the validation and management of settlement activities across organized electricity markets, supporting reporting, regulatory monitoring, IT requirements, and data integrity. The successful candidate will contribute to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of settlement processes while supporting the evolution of energy market activities and systems.

What you will do:
  • Perform settlement validation for organized electricity markets, mainly OMIE and Ancillary Services (REN, REE), as well as other bilateral activities.
  • Maintain and implement the Energy Markets reporting line, including both periodic and special-purpose reports.
  • Support transversal settlement activities.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impacts on MIBEL.
  • Ensure IT team requirements are addressed, acting as an Agile Analyst and key user.
  • Evaluate and help maintain the integrity of information stored in GEM databases, identifying data gaps and information inconsistencies.

  • No more than 2 years of professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365. Experience with Excel and Power BI reporting tools is valued.

  • Knowledge of the electricity market is considered a plus.
