EDP Renewables in Lisbon, Portugal, seeks a Market Modeling Specialist to generate and validate short-term energy forecasts and to continuously improve forecasting models. You will work within the Forecast & Modeling team to analyze data, automate processes, and provide actionable insights for senior management.

The role requires strong skills in time series forecasting, Python, SQL, and Power BI, with familiarity with cloud platforms and energy markets.

Qualificações

• 3-8 years of experience in a similar field or analyst function.
• Advanced knowledge of time series forecasting.
• Advanced knowledge of Python applied experience in time series forecasting.
• Proficiency in SQL and Power BI (DAX).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with energy markets/sector.

Responsabilidades

• Generate and validate short-term forecasts for electricity load and surplus generation across geographies.
• Monitor forecast deviations, analyze root causes, and propose improvement measures.
• Maintain and develop forecasting models to reduce forecast deviations.
