Job summary

Primark Stores Limited is seeking an EHS professional in Portugal to lead health and safety activities for all stores and facilities. The role involves inspections, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance, with travel across the country.

You will draft regulatory correspondence, monitor metrics, and work with the Iberia EHS Country Manager to drive a strong safety culture throughout Primark facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in health and safety management within a retail/FMCG environment.
• Knowledge of Portuguese occupational health and safety regulations.
• Ability to draft regulatory correspondence and monitor compliance metrics.
• Five years’ experience in health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform occupational health and safety services per Portuguese regulation for all Primark facilities.
• Conduct health and safety inspections and recommend corrective actions.
• Carry out risk assessments and emergency plans.
• Investigate incidents and ensure proper records and actions are taken.
• Collaborate with retail teams and other stakeholders to promote safety culture.
• Provide technical advice on EHS issues to stores.
• Travel across Portugal as required.
