Springer Nature is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to shape, build, and improve unified platforms enabling product teams to deliver value. You will contribute to Platform as a Service (PaaS), drive developer tool adoption, and enhance usability, performance, and security at scale.

You will join a distributed Engineering Enablement team with a global footprint, including Lisbon, and work on Kubernetes-based platforms, observability, CI/CD, and databases across global deployments.

Qualificações

• Experience operating, automating, and maintaining cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP).
• Proficiency with Kubernetes deployments and writing Kubernetes operators/controllers.
• Programming experience in Go, Python, JVM languages or similar modern languages.
• Experience with automation patterns and version control.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and observability tooling.

Responsabilidades

• Meet delivery responsibilities as part of an engineering team focused on the Engineering Platform.
• Build, operate and maintain core capabilities and components of the Engineering Platform.
• Treat the Platform as a product with real customers, not just infrastructure.
• Design automation, tooling and self-service mechanisms to accelerate product teams.
• Own and operate platform services end-to-end, including clusters, automation, and CI/CD/Observability systems.
• Provide technical support and feedback to product teams and influence the product roadmap.
