Job summary

SAP SE in Porto Salvo, Portugal, seeks a well-versed software engineer with cloud-native platform engineering expertise to shape the agentic AI journey. You’ll own tech direction, collaborate across teams, and drive scalable infrastructure.

Responsibilities include building and operating scalable platform infrastructure, developing CI/CD pipelines for agentic tools, and integrating AI agents and MCP. You’ll work with SAP engineers globally, contributing to standards and the roadmap.

Qualifications

• Strong development experience in Java, Python, or TypeScript.
• Deep CI/CD expertise — you design, build, and maintain delivery pipelines; SAP CI/CD experience is a plus.
• Cloud-native platform skills — cloud architecture, scalability, and automation in production environments.
• Proficiency with modern web APIs — RESTful design, OData, or GraphQL.
• A practical approach to AI — you apply agentic tools, AI-assisted automation, and context engineering; MCP knowledge is valued.
• Degree not required for this role.
• Fluency in English is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable platform infrastructure and automation that supports agentic AI development.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for fast, secure delivery of agentic tools and services.
• Build AI agents, MCP integrations, and agentic workflows from concept to production.
• Work with engineering teams across SAP to turn complex platform and agentic requirements into robust, scalable solutions.
• Define technical standards and best practices that raise engineering quality across the platform.
• Contribute to SAP's agentic roadmap — this team generates ideas and ships them, not just executes.
