Job summary

Elastic is seeking a proactive Platform Engineering Productivity lead to own CI/CD, release gates, and supply-chain security. You will shape the roadmap, remove bottlenecks, and guide multi-quarter projects across engineering teams in a fast-moving AI-driven environment.

You will review code, mentor engineers, and produce clear documentation while acting as Incident Commander during high-severity incidents.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in CI/CD and hardening release pipelines against supply chain attacks.
• Hands-on with CI infrastructure such as Buildkite or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with GitOps/ArgoCD and Kubernetes.
• Proven track record delivering multi-quarter, cross-org ownership.
• Strong technical communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Define the roadmap and technical vision for CI/CD and release processes across the org.
• Identify bottlenecks, friction, or security risks in the pipeline and drive remediation.
• Design and enforce scalable release gates for supply chain integrity and release readiness.
• Direct engineers on multi-quarter projects and own outcomes across distributed teams.
• Produce high-quality documentation for systems, processes, and architectural decisions.
• Act as Incident Commander during high-severity supply chain or release incidents.
• Raise the engineering bar through code reviews, design reviews, and mentoring.
• Remain hands-on where beneficial while leveraging others' work to achieve outcomes.
