Job summary

Elastic, the Search AI Company, is seeking a Platform Engineering Productivity lead to own CI/CD governance and release infrastructure at scale. You will drive security-focused improvements across the supply chain, mentor engineers, and coordinate across teams to ensure reliable deployments in a distributed environment.

In this role you’ll review code, prototype solutions, and guide multi-quarter initiatives while maintaining hands-on involvement where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in CI/CD and securing release pipelines against supply chain attacks.
• Strong debugging across the full pipeline from test runner to deployment.
• Hands-on with Buildkite, GitHub Actions, and GitOps tools (ArgoCD).
• Experience with incident response and cross-team ownership over outcomes.
• You can mentor and lead engineers toward actionable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define the CI/CD roadmap and technical vision.
• Identify bottlenecks, friction, or security risks and drive remediation.
• Design and enforce scalable release gates for supply chain integrity.
• Lead engineers through multi-quarter projects and own the outcome.
• Drive clear technical communication and document architectures.
• Serve as Incident Commander for high-severity incidents.
• Raise engineering standards through code reviews and mentorship.
• Remain hands-on at depth; review code and prototype as needed.
