Aubay Portugal collaborates with major organisations across banking, insurance, telecoms and energy, building critical systems for millions of users.

The Senior Software Engineer will design and implement AI agent workflows, orchestration, MCP, and CI/CD pipelines, using Python and TypeScript, with GCP and Terraform. Expect a hybrid model with 1 day on-site weekly in Lisbon, Braga, or Coimbra, and a focus on integrity and team collaboration.

Qualificações

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with senior/lead responsibilities.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying AI agents in production, including orchestration and evaluation frameworks.
• Strong background in Platform Engineering, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript with cloud infrastructure know‑how (GCP) and IaC (Terraform).
• Experience developing internal developer platforms, CLIs, or workflow engines, with SDLC understanding.

Responsabilidades

What will you do?

• Design and build agentic development workflows, tools, and automation across the entire SDLC;
• Develop and integrate AI agents, encompassing orchestration, tool use, MCP servers, and context engineering;
• Implement robust evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and quality checks to ensure reliable agent outputs;
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and developer tooling;
• Integrate AI-powered workflows with enterprise systems like Jira, source control, and CI platforms.

What are we looking for?

• Over 8 years of proven software engineering experience, with significant senior or lead-level responsibilities;
• Extensive hands‑on experience building and deploying AI agents in production environments, including orchestration, MCP, and evaluation frameworks;
• Strong background in Platform Engineering, DevOps, and CI/CD practices;
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript, with a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (e.g., GCP) and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform);
• Experience developing internal developer platforms, CLIs, or workflow engines, coupled with a deep understanding of the SDLC;
• A minimum English level of C1 is required for effective communication;
