Aubay Portugal is hiring for a backend engineer to design and deliver REST APIs, own core feature architecture, and build robust data ingestion components. You will ship code frequently, ensure security and uptime, and contribute to a high-standard engineering culture.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in backend engineering, 3+ years with Python, strong distributed-systems knowledge, and experience across PostgreSQL/MySQL and cloud CI/CD pipelines. Hybrid work with two days in Porto is available.

What will you do?

• Design and deliver customer-facing REST APIs with comprehensive documentation, ensuring a seamless self-service experience for developers.
• Own the end-to-end architecture and implementation of core product features, from conception to deployment.
• Build and maintain robust, secure, and resilient data ingestion layers, including performant scraping and parsing components.
• Ship code frequently, iterate quickly based on product performance and customer feedback, and meet stringent security and uptime requirements.
• Contribute to shaping our engineering culture and establishing high standards for quality, ownership, and collaboration.
