Job summary

Adecco (Portugal) is seeking a proactive Procure-to-Pay Analyst to act as the bridge between the company and external suppliers. You will manage supplier relationships, monitor balances, and ensure timely payments while performing reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in Accounts Payable or P2P, a relevant bachelor's degree, and strong SAP experience. Fluent English and French are required, with Italian a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting or solid relevant work experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, P2P, or a related finance role.
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and the P2P cycle; experience with SAP is a plus.
• Fluent English and French (Italian knowledge a big plus).

Responsibilities

• Act as main contact for suppliers, building and maintaining strong relationships.
• Monitor outstanding balances and ensure timely payments to avoid penalties.
• Perform regular reconciliations between internal records and supplier statements.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or billing issues.
• Collaborate with third-party providers to ensure timely processing of invoices and credit notes.
• Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities in the Procure-to-Pay cycle and prepare supplier KPIs.

You will be the bridge between the company and the external partners, ensuring relationships are strong and based on trust.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Acting as the main point of contact for suppliers, building and maintaining strong relationships
• Monitoring outstanding balances and ensuring payments are made on time to avoid penalties
• Performing regular reconciliations between internal records and supplier statements
• Efficiently investigating and resolving any discrepancies or billing issues
• Collaborating with third-party providers to ensure timely processing of all financial documents (invoices, credit notes, etc.), while ensuring compliance with internal policies
• Analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement within the Procure-to-Pay cycle. Preparing supplier performance reports and key process KPIs.

For the Procure to Pay Analyst position, we're looking for a professional with the following:

• Academic Background: A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting, or solid relevant work experience.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Procure-to-Pay, or a related finance role.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles, proficiency in the Procure-to-Pay cycle, experience with accounting software, especially SAP
• Languages: Fluent English and French (Italian knowledge is a big plus!);
