Nimber in Porto is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator with a DevOps mindset to join our Database team. The consultant will ensure database stability, performance and security with a focus on automation and reliability.

You will maintain databases across production and non-production environments, collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams, and contribute to high-availability and continuity initiatives. English (B2) and Portuguese are required.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of experience as Oracle DBA
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Oracle RAC and Single Instance
• Experience with RMAN and Dataguard
• Good English (B2) and Portuguese
• Experience with ticketing systems
• Good teamwork and communication

Responsabilidades

• Maintenance of production and non-production databases
• Analyze incidents and requests, implement fixes
• Process change requests
• Optimize Oracle SGDB engines and SQL
• Develop scripts and automated solutions
• Perform preventive maintenance and maintenance control
• Respond to developers and infra teams
• Participate in DB design and high-availability projects
• Maintain operational documentation
• Conduct business continuity and disaster recovery exercises

Position: Oracle Database Administrator

Location: Oporto - Hybrid

Job Summary:

Oracle Database Administrator with a DevOps mindset obsessed about automation, scalability, performance and infrastructure reliability to join our Database team. The consultant will be responsible for guaranteeing database stability, performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance of databases in operational condition (production and non-production);
• Analyze activity (incidents, requests) then develop and implement corrective actions;
• Treatment of changes requests;
• Optimization of SGDB engines and SQL code;
• Developing scripts and any automated solutions that can ease the activity;
• Preventive maintenance and control of these maintenances;
• Responding to requests from developers, application administrators and infrastructures teams;
• Participate in business projects on the design and implementation of databases (DBMS, volumetry, high availability);
• Maintenance of operational documentation (processes, workflows, tasks, etc);
• Realization of business continuity and availability exercises.

Requirements:

• 3 years + of experience in the role;
• Experience with Oracle 19c;
• Solid experience in debugging and troubleshooting;
• Experience with Oracle RAC and Single Instance;
• Experience with Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN);
• Experience with Oracle Dataguard;
• Good level of English - minimum B2 (mandatory);
• Portuguese proficiency;
• Experience with ticketing system;
• Experience with MS-SQL, MySQL, Postgres and/or MongoDB are a plus;
• Good team player;
• Good communication skill.
