InnoTech in Lisbon, Portugal, seeks an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to optimize performance, manage backups, and lead upgrades across ExaCC and Exadata environments on Linux. Strong SQL/PLSQL, RAC, Data Guard skills, and English communication are essential. CPLP/EU permit preferred.

Qualificações

• 5–10 years of hands-on Oracle databases in production environments, with tuning and optimization focus.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, OEM, SQL and PL/SQL scripting.
• Hands-on with ExaCC, ZFS, ZDLRA, Exadata environments; ExaCC CPU optimization.
• Experience in Linux/Unix environments; Windows knowledge is a plus.
• Proficient English communication (C1).
• CPLP nationality or EU work permit required.

Responsabilidades

• Optimize Oracle database performance through compression, indexing, query tuning, and resource allocation with focus on ExaCC efficiency and reducing I/O/storage.
• Improve backup/recovery operations across Oracle ZFS and ZDLRA; ensure reliable, efficient protection.
• Lead Kerberos authentication migrations and Oracle Client upgrades; support infrastructure/dev teams with recommendations.
• Investigate complex database issues, perform root-cause analysis; contribute to best practices across design, SQL development, security.

Your Mission Will Be

• Optimizing Oracle database performance through compression, indexing, query tuning, and resource allocation, with a strong focus on ExaCC efficiency and reducing unnecessary storage and I/O consumption;
• Improving backup and recovery operations across Oracle ZFS and ZDLRA environments, ensuring reliable and efficient database protection;
• Leading and supporting technical initiatives such as Kerberos authentication migrations and Oracle Client upgrades;
• Investigating complex database and performance issues, performing root cause analysis, and supporting infrastructure and development teams with technical recommendations;
• Promoting database best practices across design, SQL development, scalability, security, and continuous operational improvement.

You Will Need

• 5–10 years of hands‑on experience working with Oracle databases in production environments, with strong expertise in performance tuning, compression, and resource optimization;
• Solid knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, Oracle Enterprise Manager, SQL and PL/SQL scripting;
• Hands‑on experience with ExaCC, ZFS, ZDLRA, Exadata environments, and ExaCC CPU optimization;
• Practical experience with Linux and/or Unix environments, with Windows knowledge being an advantage;
• Professional English at C1 level, both written and spoken, with strong communication and problem-solving skills;
• CPLP nationality or an EU work permit is required to facilitate employment.

Would Be Awesome If You Have

• Knowledge of Kerberos authentication, Oracle Client upgrades, Transparent Data Encryption, auditing, and compliance controls;
• Experience with additional database technologies such as Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Azure Synapse, or DB2;
• Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, UrbanCode Deploy, Qlik Replicate, Git/Bitbucket, ServiceNow, Jira, or DBeaver, as well as Oracle SQL Developer and Toad for Oracle;
• BSc or MSc in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields, with Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or equivalent certification being a plus.
