DataSmart, empresa portuguesa com mais de 20 anos no mercado, procura um Senior Database Administrator – Oracle (ExaCC/Exadata) para integrar a equipe em regime híbrido em Lisboa. O candidato ideal possui 5–10 anos de experiência prática com Oracle DBA, Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN e TDE, além de forte atuação em desempenho, tuning e conformidade.

Responsável por otimizar performance, gerenciar segurança e suporte a equipes de desenvolvimento, com atuação em ambientes regulados.

Qualificações

• Universidade com formação em Ciência da Computação, Engenharia ou área técnica equivalente.
• Experiência prática de 5–10 anos como Oracle DBA em ambientes de produção.
• Conhecimento sólido de desempenho Oracle, compressão e otimização de recursos.
• Conhecimento de ExaCC, ZFS e ZDLRA é um grande plus.
• Inglês C1 obrigatório, falado e escrito.

Responsabilidades

• Otimizar desempenho de bancos de dados Oracle em ExaCC, ZFS e ZDLRA.
• Ajustar consultas, indexing e compressão para eficiência de CPU, armazenamento e I/O.
• Aprimorar alocação de CPU ExaCC para maximizar recursos.
• Otimizar backup e recovery em appliances Oracle ZFS e ZDLRA.
• Conduzir projetos técnicos e suporte a equipes de desenvolvimento e operações.
• Realizar RCA em incidentes de performance e manter documentação técnica auditável.
• Garantir controles de acesso, criptografia TDE, auditoria e conformidade.
• Contribuir para ambientes multi-plataforma: Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Synapse.

Formação académica

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a comparable technical field

Join our team as a Senior Database Administrator – Oracle (ExaCC / Exadata)(Hybrid – Lisbon)!

What You’ll Do:

• Optimize Oracle database performance across ExaCC, ZFS and ZDLRA environments.
• Perform query tuning, indexing and compression optimization to improve CPU, storage and I/O efficiency.
• Fine-tune ExaCC CPU allocation to maximize resource utilization and minimize capacity waste.
• Optimize backup and recovery processes across Oracle ZFS and ZDLRA appliances.
• Lead and support key technical projects, including:
  • Kerberos authentication migration
  • Oracle Client upgrades
• Advise development teams on database design, SQL coding, performance and scalability best practices.
• Investigate complex performance incidents and perform root cause analysis (RCA) on issues escalated by infrastructure teams.
• Manage and enforce access controls, TDE encryption, auditing and compliance requirements.
• Maintain audit-quality technical documentation.
• Contribute to multi-platform database environments, including Azure SQL, PostgreSQL and Synapse.
• Collaborate closely with infrastructure teams, developers and project stakeholders across different initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement and resource efficiency across database operations.

Qualifications:

• Oracle RAC.
• Oracle Data Guard.
• RMAN.
• Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL scripting — mandatory.
• Exadata/ExaCC awareness and CPU optimization.
• Query tuning and indexing strategies.
• Transparent Data Encryption (TDE).
• Auditing and compliance controls.
• Knowledge of Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Azure Synapse or DB2 is a plus.

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a comparable technical field.
• 5–10 years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience in production environments.
• Strong expertise in:
  • Oracle performance tuning
  • Compression
  • Resource optimization
• Hands-on experience with ExaCC, ZFS and ZDLRA is a strong plus.
• Strong Linux and/or Unix knowledge; Windows knowledge is a plus.
• Experience in regulated environments, particularly financial services, is a strong plus.Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or equivalent certification is a plus.
• English C1 — mandatory, spoken and written.
• French and/or Dutch is a plus.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with infrastructure partners, development teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Structured problem-solving and analytical mindset.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical findings and performance recommendations.
• Generalizing-specialist profile, comfortable working across multiple database technologies.
• Valid work permit or EU/Schengen nationality allowing legal employment in Portugal.
• Lisbon/Portugal-based, with a hybrid working model.
